I started when my niece who reads alot asked me to get the first book for her. She was so into it that I sat with her most nights listening to her read aloud and from then I became a fan.

The funny thing was that I did not even know it was a book series. I mentioned to a friend that I wanted to go see this cool looking movie called Twilight and she was like did you read the books. Read the books I asked her, there are books? She loaned all of hers to me and I was hooked from the first one on. I was not able to put them down, my husband thought I was a lunatic. I read all of them in 6 days, a hard task when you are a SAHM of a 5 year, 3 year and 5 month old.

@Chubble: See, that's an interesting story! Mine's not too interesting
@Cecilia: Honest to God, it took me a full 15 seconds for me to understand the abbreviation "SAHM"...but I got it :) After I read "5 year old..,etc", I put two and two together. :D

My Twilight Discovery:
I've always hung around a group of girls in school that read this book called Twilight, but it was so popular and they were so crazy about it since around 2005 when it was published that I was initially turned off. But Labor Day Thursday, 2008, my friend Amber had the 1st book of the Saga (Twilight, obviously) laying on her desk, and I was so fed up with hearing about it over the years that I picked it up and started reading her copy in the middle of class.
From those of you who've done this . . . you kind of know where the obsession goes on from there. Engrossed by the second chapter, thrilled by the fourth, and irrevocably in love by the sixth -- enough, in fact, that I went home that night and got all four books shipped overnight to me so that I would have them to read for the weekend. I read the first three books in three days; Twilight Friday, New Moon Saturday (that one took me all day...it was kind of hard to read, understandably), Eclipse Sunday, and I had to finish the last chapter of Breaking Dawn that Monday.
Four days, four books, I made it happen.
And ever since I've leant my hardback copies out to all my friends and family: in fact, Twilight and Breaking Dawn are missing off my shelf as I type this. I've kept these books in better condition than I've kept any literature book in my life! And I'm a heavy reader! My mom calls them my "sacred books". ;)

Well.... I am a 30 year old architect from Colombia and here is my story:
I have been always interested in vampires stories, and my hubby told me about this saga (It was the year 2007) and that a movie for the first book was going to be released on 2008.
Being a big movies fan; I thought it would be a great combo, So... I went to the library to get the books.. Unfortunatelly they were only abailable in Spanish and I wanted To read them in the Original Languaje.
I put my name on the waiting list but time pass and then I found Myself watching the movie previous to reading the books. Not exactly what I wanted in the beginning.
So I was SO In love with the story that I went right to the bookstore and bought "crepusculo" the first one... The others... were not available, completely sold out....-I read it in a day and a half-
Two days later in other bookstore I found "Eclipse" (read in one day) and "Amanecer" (read in 2 days)... I was missing the second one still.. I had to wait for about 3 weeks in order to get it, going every day just in case the bookstore has lost my number. So in the meantime I went to the movie again and again (for a total of 9 times - 7 in english and twice in Spanish translation) and repeat the 3 books I had....ohh!!! I almost forgot.. I read midnight Sun Too in english and Spanish (not a very good translation)
When I got "Luna Nueva" I read it desperatlly to search for the parts that I was clueless about for reading out of order.
Now .. to end the story I'm happy to tell that I got my complete saga in English a week ago and I also finished it...
So the gran total and of course my preferences are:
Twilight - 4 times
Midnight Sun - 3 times
New Moon - 3 Times
Eclipse - 6 Times
Breaking Down - 4 times

Not happy of being a fan myself... I Had to convert my mom too.. So I took her with me to the movie 5 times and I read to her the complete saga out loud (just because I like to change the voices while im reading and my mom loves that)

Hope you have enjoy it as much as I do.

I started reading it the day after I watched the movie, it's so cool because when your reading it you can picture it from the movie. This truly a great Movie and the books are really great.

I first started reading Twilight because I bought the saga for my daughter, they just sat on her dresser for weeks ...she wanted to start reading them after her other book from school. I decided to start reading Twilight because they were sitting there just staring at me everyday and we were planning to go see the movie anyways in a couple of days.........never looked back I LOVE LOVE these books. I read them all the time and I can't say how many times because whenever I get free time when I'm on lunch from work, spare moment at home, and before I go to bed at night I read something from the books. The DVD/BluRay is launching this weekend so were having a release pary at my house. (It was suppose to be for my daughter but I have more friends coming over).I went to party city bought the decorations, posters from Hot Topic, party bags, and raffeling off a Collector Edition of Twilight at the party. I know crazy but I'm so excited it has really bonded my daughter and I we talk about it all the time everyone else in the family doesn't get it but between her and I we do. Aloha

One of my good friends of whom I sit with everyday at lunch comes up to me . INSTANT REPLAY: Rebecca: "Morgan, wanna come to a movie Friday?". Morgan:" Well sure, haven't made any plans for the weekend anyways. What movie is it?". Rebecca:"Twilight:DD [jumps up and down , and has a panic attack]". Morgan:"Never heard of it , but looks like it'll be good because you look like your about to pee your pants jumping up and down about it." Teacher:" Girls off the subject of movies and onto geometric planes please?" . Morgan:"Sorry, Rebecca was just having a little moment." Rebecca:"It's momentarily passed, hurry Morgan I have to get on something else it only MOMENTARILY passed." Teacher: What is she freaking out about?" Morgan: "We are going to see "Twilight" or something." Teacher: "Well Rebecca, I understand your excitement . I too , will be attending the premiere of Twilight." Morgan-cracks up- . Well anyway that's the just of how I first heard of the movie , completely and totally oblivious to the fact that there is a series of books . So I go to the movie, and fall in love . I have my dad take me the very next day to Hastings and I pick up Twilight . All of which I devoured in less than 5 hours . Then I reread it until my dad would take me to Hastings to get New Moon . Which is the book where my girl senses took over, and I cried over my first book . Eclipse I loved . And Breaking Dawn was a hit, I am currently rereading that one right now for probably about the one-thousandth time . My friends think I am crazy . As well as my Language Arts teacher . I have had to bed over and over for my librarian at my school to make Eclipse and Breaking Dawn a test there , but she said they are not 'recommended' . Translation: They are to dirty for the middle-schooler's minds . She hasn't even read them . She disgusts me on a day-to-day basis . My room is bombarded with a title wave of Twilight Posters . You cannot see my walls . At all. A New Moon posters are yet to come , so wish me luck finding more wall that isnt there . Various tee-shirts of Twilight , and a Twilight Special-Edition Copy . So HOW did I come about the Twilight Saga? Thank you my dear now BEST friend, Rebecca Cloar . Claps to her . And WHEN did I come about reading the Twilight Saga? The day after the release date of the movie. Up until then , I had never even heard about it, except for maybe the average commercial every now and again .

Morgan.

I knew about Twilight from a friend in her site who is a fan, and I asked my sister if she could borrow Twilight from one of her friends. And she did. So I started reading, and I got addicted. I was even reading it during my exams, instead of reviewing my lessons because I can't put it down. After that, I eventually got my hands on the rest of the books. :D

i knew about the books, but bc i hadn't read a book since my last yr in college, i wasn't prompted to pick it up. saw the movie, and was told i should read the series. which i read in a matter of 4 days, including the draft of midnight sun that stephenie meyer released on her website. this series jump started my love for reading! i really do have to thank her in person, one day =)
