My name is Amanda Toh. I am a 19 year old aspiring singer/actor. I am a huge fan of the Maximum Ride series, and like any other book fan, I wanted to know if it was going to be adapted into a feature film. Well, here I am now. :)

I am very interested in the part of Max in Maximum Ride. As I am the oldest child from a family that has six children, I really connected with Max's character. When I was much younger, unfortunate events occurred that required me to mature earlier than most kids to help support my mother, who would work two to three jobs at a time. I was only eleven years old, but she needed me to be a kind of second parent to help raise my younger brothers. Now, I can proudly say she has been married for about a year now, and I added another younger brother and sister to my already large family.

After reading many of the incidences that Max has to suffer through in the series, I feel that I can really bring out Max through my own experiences. Qualities and experiences like being a leader, planning ahead, making difficult decisions, being betrayed by a parent, being strong for her family, being depended by multiple people, doing anything to protect those you care about most, being resourceful, to saving a perfect stranger are just some of the characteristics we share in common. These are qualities, skills, and situations I have gained and/or experienced in my adolescence
