Twilight Short Scene Contest!!

Hi everyone, welcome to catherinehardwicke.com! To kick off the launching of Catherine's website, we are holding a contest! We're encouraging EVERYONE to film a short scene that they wish could have made it into "TWILIGHT". Was something in Stephenie Meyer's book that didn't make the final cut? We want YOU to give us YOUR version of that scene! The rules are as follows:
1. The scene must have been in the original "Twilight" novel, but not have been in the final version of Catherine Hardwicke's film. Show us your interpretation!

2. The scene must be less than TWO MINUTES in length.

3. You must upload it to this website via the handy-dandy video uploader by APRIL 20th, 2009! That gives you about one month from TODAY.

4. To add the video: Go to the "videos" tab at the top of the page, then click "add video". Title your video as follows:

"SCENE CONTEST ENTRY: (Scene Title) by (Your Name)"

4. Be original! Be creative!

The winner of this contest will receive a special prize, have their video featured on this website, AND get a critique from none other than Catherine Hardwicke. Good luck, everyone!

Hi, I also have a question; are there any specific rules such as crediting those that starred in the short scene? Or is just each to his/her own?

1. Anyone can participate! Just upload it to the website and it will qualify for judging.
2. There are no specific rules as to credits. It just needs to be your BEST work!

I wish someone would do the scene where Bella walks into the cafeteria and Edward is staring at her and wishing she'd sit with him. It's right before the blood-typing scene.

Ha ha! Great contest! There's very little left in the Twilight book to turn into a meaty scene. But I'll have a go if I can find the time. Goodluck people!

Ok, seriously people, don't get discouraged... you say you don't have a video camera or you're video illiterate - but get creative, use your cell phone, your computer camera... go rent "Cloverfield" and watch the first 3 minutes of it. Seriously - they made an entire movie using a hand held camera. copy the feel of the hands on personal video camera. Seriously - anyone can create videos, think of it as blogging or texting - just in constant motion - Ok, I'm off my soap box :)
