SCENE CONTEST ENTRY: Weakness-By Debra Petitt

This is the Blood Typing Scene from chapter 5 of Twilight.

We all had so much fun making this movie. I've never worked so hard (60+hours-Wow! for a two minute movie) and had so much fun at the same time. I loved it. Enjoy!

Confessions from the Director of "Weaknes"- I've wanted to make movies for a long time. So, I was thrilled when I read about this contest. This was my first time ever behind a camera to actually film a movie, the first time to direct a movie, the first time in a movie (the Nurse), the first time I've ever used editing software (I didn't even know that Windows Movie Maker was on my computer until someone told me it might be) and this is my first experience ever to upload movies to the internet. This was an incredible experience for me. I learned so much in the past 20 days. This is really what I want to do. I absolutely loved it!!

Deb, you did a great job on editing! It was a blast filming, I know everyone involved had a great experience. Just the beginning of your Film/Directing career. Great job to everyone involved!!

Hey everybody! Sorry I had to delete the other movie that I uploaded- it was at 2 minutes and it needed to be under. Unfortunately it deleted all of your great comments too. But thank you for watching (110 views) and thank you for your comments. I loved doing this and plan on continuing. This was a big boost for me. Good Luck to all the competitors.

The beginning of this scene was really good! Setting up the “feeling” of high school with the music and the note passing was right on, and the perfect opening for this. Getting so many people involved must have been a challenge, but it really raised the bar on your production value and helped create the world of your scene. The dialogue was really fun, and the actor who played Mike was hilarious. I was a little sad to see the end get so serious/dramatic. To keep with the flow you had going before maybe Edward/Bella could have a funny private moment to “bookend” the scene nicely. What else could you have done to help the end? Nice job!
